Important Information
1. Shed fundraising — For the last two years the Shed has assisted the Dederang/Mt Beauty Football & Netball Club by collecting their Gate Entry money, for home games. In return they allow us to sell raffle tickets at the gate for a donated trailer load of red-gum wood or a Bunnings sales voucher. Any ticket sales is Shed profit. The committee is seeking a Footy Gate Raffle Co-ordinator and Volunteers for the 9 home games – 5 at Dederang and 4 at Mt Beauty. Volunteers can help for whatever number of games or time commitment they wish. Hours are 7am to 3pm.

Editor’s note: Josh is a member of the Mount Beauty & District Men’s Shed and the committee is keen to help his cause, i.e. ‘Dogs for Diggers Program’, hence this message to encourage members to donate.

Hi my name is Josh and I am raising funds for 15 rescued dogs to become Assistance Dogs to support our serving and ex-serving Australian Defence Force members who are dealing with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD)
I am a returned servicemen who served in Afghanistan. I deployed three times over a period of four years and needless to say, this was extremely tough on myself and my young family. After returning from deployment I realised that I was not coping, and after my wife expressed her concerns, I decided to get help. In August 2013 I was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as well as major depression. This sent our world into a spin.

The annual Sweet Valley Sounds event is on again this Saturday 7th February at the Mountain Bike Park above Mt Beauty. The event starts at 11:30am and finishes at 10:30pm.
Like last year the Men’s Shed have again been asked if they can provide supervision between 6:30pm to 10:30pm. The Shed benefits financially by assisting.

Can you please indicate your availability to Paul L’Huillier by Thursday 5th February. Telephone: 57544554, Mob: 0400 056 247 or Email: <paullhuillier@bigpond.com>
Please indicate which shift i.e. one or both: Shift #1: — 6:30pm to 8:30pm OR Shift #2: 8:30pm to 10:30pm. First shift will meet at the entrance at 6:15pm for a briefing.
On Sunday morning the organisers would appreciate some extra help in dismantling the facilities. If you can assist please indicate this to Paul L’Huillier. Again, the Shed benefits financially by assisting.
