Probus Talk Cancelled & AFL on the ‘Big Screen’

October 9, 2017 By Paul L'Huillier

The Probus Club had invited Shed members to a talk by the National Heart Foundation at the Alex McCullough this Wednesday 11th October but the speaker is now unavailable so the talk has been cancelled.

AFL Grand Final at the Shed — We had 15 members for the viewing on the 65″ TV screen. Only one true ‘Adelaide Crow’ supporter and no Richmond, the rest were barracking for either the Tigers or the Crows. Ian Erbacher won the prize as he picked the Richmond Tigers to win, was closest to the winning Tiger margin and picked Dustin Martin to win the ‘Norm Smith Medal’ for best on the ground. The only thing he missed on was ‘the first goal scorer’ (Rory Sloane-Crows). Thanks to Mark and Maureen Hardidge who provide the ‘treats’ at half time.

Next Monthly BBQ & General Meeting — Friday 20th October from 11:30 am.

Some of the members enjoying the viewing

AFL Grand Final … at the Shed

September 27, 2017 By Paul L'Huillier

Another Shed Social Happening.

Come along for an afternoon of Grand Final viewing on the Shed’s 65” TV screen.

  • When: Saturday 30th September 2017
  • Time: 2:00 pm for a game start at 2:30 pm
  • Who’s playing: Richmond (Tigers) V Adelaide (Crows). It will be a great game.
  • Half-Time: Treats arranged by our ‘Chef de Shed’ Mark Hardidge (no charge). If Mark’s arranging the food you know not to miss this ‘half-time’ break. Tea & Coffee anytime.

This should be great social afternoon. You don’t have to be a ‘diehard’ football follower to enjoy the game and the company.

So we know numbers for the half-time ‘treats’ you need to RSVP me by Friday evening. Email <paullhuillier@bigpond.com> or Mobile: 0400 056 247.

Hope to see you there.
